Career exploration & planning
At Liston College, students from Year 10 to Year 13 have access to the Career Central platform. This online tool helps them develop their career management competencies so as they can grow in self understanding, explore opportunities and eventually be prepared to make decisions leading to a successful transition from school.

Bullseye Future Pathways Assessment
This is a 15 minute questionnaire which identifies pathways that most closely match an individual’s talents and interests. It is based on the latest occupational research and encourages young people to think broadly about industries of interest.Features of Career Central

Year 10 – students are introduced to Career Central during a week of career-focused lessons during Social Studies and complete the Work clusters Quiz.
Year 11 – they complete the Bullseye Future Pathways Assessment and update their individual platform with details about their own unique values, skills and interests. They research and save job ideas. In addition, they complete NCEA assessments in CV writing and employability skills.
