Architectural fabrication your thing? Grow your knowledge for architectural software and fabrication detail processes, and get hands-on experience making artifacts on laser cutters and CNC router machines.
Intro to Early Childhood Education (29th Sep, 9.30am – 2.30pm)
Working young tamariki your thing? Lets introduce you to the world of ECE. You’ll gain perspective for teaching children at the early developmental stages while exploring play through sensory, interactive and creative activities. Our lecturers will also take your through what you need to know to enter the Bachelor of teaching ECE.
Building, Modelling & Design (1st Oct, 10am – 2pm)
Designing Buildings your thing? Learn why buildings are the way they are, and use new software that will help you sketch, plan and design your elements.
Intro to Quantity Surveying (1st Oct, 10am – 2pm)
Calculating numbers your thing? Lets introduce you to the world of Quantity Surveying. Our Unitec students build houses on site, and we want you to produce quantities for them. Get out in the field, and experience how Quantity Surveyors get things done.
Metal & Woodworking (6th Oct, 10am – 2pm)
Working with tools your thing? Come work with our UPC lecturers. You’ll get an introduction to wrought iron work while using engineering, metal and woodworking hand tools. You’ll work on a handcrafted item to take home too.
